Just plain weird - an author penning sections about an "Addisonian." Don't know if I'd attempt this read...confused on what is about in the first place. I should do more research.

Readers from around the world...I've been blessed to have introductions to many of you, so remember that your comments and emails are important to me. For those of you who just like to stop by from time to time, I am glad you come to visit.

After I had been diagnosed with Addison's I conducted research for years, but had a difficult time finding other Addisonians who would simply share their daily story and their daily truths with this disease. So, I decided to break my silence and to provide to others what I was rarely finding.

With other diseases, there are books, life stories, documentaries and such that reveal the insider's viewpoint for all to see. With Addison's, it is so rare that we have fewer resources to start with. Since I have lived through many Addisonian Crisis episodes and have had multiple major surgeries, I might have some tidbit of information that could help another through their own challenge or to provide encouragement through difficult times. I also share my beautiful days so you can see that I live a rich, full life, in spite of Addison's and complications.

I do not live a spectacular life. I do not possess any special talents to dazzle you with. I might have a few labels attached to me, such as Addison's disease, but I'm quite ordinary. However, there are days when I feel ten feet tall.

So, now you know that I feel as if sharing with you is important so that you can see the raw life of a person with Addison's disease...the Pre-Addison's days, the time when I was sick for a prolonged period of time and without a diagnosis, then during my diagnosis and finally the years of living with this disease. I share how it has impacted my immediate family and other areas of my life. I share the good times, the truth of the rotten times and the ordinary days when it almost seems as if I have never heard of Addison's disease.
